I like this forum... but it's hard to understand... but thats my problem

What are some good musicians...musicians you like very much in your country ?

i have no fucking idea what's number one on the hitlists... but i'm pretty sure it's shit.
i'm not really into the kind of music that usually hits the top 5.

but i can tell you we have pretty strong let's say 'indie' scene, some talented young bands that know how to make rock'n'roll.
fortunately noone dares to compare to Placebo. but there's that band - Hariasen.. it seems to me their lead singer's a wannabee Brian, but he's a very sad person in fact.

as for not polish stuff... linkin park and all those nu metal bands are huge i think.
oh! and of course *emo*. streets are full of those emo kids too emo for their own lives.

Are in Poland also some casting shows, where they search musicians to form a band ??

Here in germany we call it : Deutschland sucht den Superstar or Popstars !

But these groups are often bad

and they only search for peopla who make pop music... no chance for rocker

we had MTV Rockuje. there were some nice rock bands. also Piotr Stelmach in Offensywa (radio Trójka) is trying to promote new bands. he made 2 long plays with their music.

For sure there is/was Piotr Kaczkowski - the man who is making cd compilation called 'Minimax.PL' and than he is making sth like casting, cuz bands from whole Poland can sand their demos and he is making big hard work to choose for example 18 tracks for this compilation. All is making at radio Trójka (Polish Radio Channel 3) at his Minimax audition. It's amazing and awesome how skilled are underground bands in Poland.
Check out for example MinimaxPL 4. This is very very nice compilation!

I dunno what is now with Piotr Kaczkowski, cuz last times when I wanted to listen his audition there were other guy :/
